<p>Slowe, Wendy N., DVM (nee Clark), of Grand Island, NY, November 17, 2021. Born<br /> in California in 1942 and raised in Toronto, Ontario, daughter of the late Cecil<br /> and Iris (Reese) Lesmond, wife of the late Thomas Slowe. Graduate of the<br /> University of Guelph School of Veterinary Medicine, she specialized in emergency<br /> and critical care with Buffalo Veterinary Group, Ford Veterinary Associates and&nbsp;<br /> her former practice: Suburban Veterinary Hospital in Williamsville, NY. In her<br /> youth, she rode exercise for racing Thoroughbreds at the Woodbine course in<br /> Canada and never lost her love for the racing game. Wendy was an avid gardener<br /> and created a blooming masterpiece to surround her home. But of all her<br /> interests, she will always be best remembered and respected for her dedication<br /> to Standard Poodles which she bred at her Trelarken kennel. Her beloved &ldquo;Bama&rdquo;,<br /> AM/CAN Ch. Trelarken Turn Back Time, TP was a major contributor to the lineage<br /> of many winning Standards&nbsp; exhibited in the Ring today. She is greatly missed by<br /> friends, colleagues and so many that she influenced throughout the years and<br /> most especially by her dogs that she preceded to the Bridge. Memorial to be held<br /> Saturday December 4, 2021 1-4 PM at the Kaiser Funeral Home 1950 Whitehaven Rd.,<br /> Grand Island.&nbsp;</p>
