Scott Raymond Bennett, 62, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones, on September 20, 2026. Born on October 1, 1963, Scott was a hardworking man who took great pride in his career as a boilermaker and in providing for the family he loved so deeply. Scott was known for his quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and ability to bring laughter into every conversation. He had a way of making people smile and was never afraid to share a joke or a funny story. His humor, warmth, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Scott was the beloved husband of Dorothy Bennett, with whom he shared nearly 40 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with family, love, laughter, and countless memories. He leaves behind his children: Amy Foley (Kevin) of Massachusetts, O4 Lieutenant Commander Kristopher Bennett US Navy, Keli Ortega of Colorado, Korey Bennett (Morgan) of Grand Island, and Kassie Riley (Jacob) of North Carolina. Scott was a very proud Papa to Destiny, Teyah, Kaden, Carter, Kason, Skyler, Kristopher, Braedon, Kaleb, Kameron, Annabella, Adalynn, Arielle, Aurora, Bennett, Jackson, and Joel Raymond J.R. His grandchildren were a tremendous source of pride and joy, and he cherished every moment he shared with them. He is also survived by his siblings, Sandy (John) Wright, Bill Bennett, and Ron (Becky) Bennett. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia (Hessler) Bennett and William Bennett, and his sister, Patricia Bennett. Scott leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, hard work, and memories that will remain in the hearts of his family and friends. Friends may call Wednesday September 23rd 4-6 PM followed by memorial services Wednesday at 6 PM at the Kaiser Funeral Home 1950 Whitehaven Rd., Grand Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo.
