Joseph A. Sass

Oct-20-2026

Joseph A. Sass, October 6, 1989-October 20, 2026. Joseph A. Sass, lovingly known as Joe, passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2026, at the age of 37. Above all else, Joe was a devoted husband and father. There was no greater love in his life than that for his wife, Molly (nee Hayes), and their three beautiful children, Lillian, Brennan and Theodore. His world revolved around his family, and everything he did was driven by his desire to provide them with the best life possible. They were his greatest pride, his greatest joy and the center of his universe. A man of few words but with the biggest heart, Joe was someone who showed his love through his actions. He would drop whatever he was doing to help someone in need, never expecting anything in return. His generosity, loyalty and willingness to lend a hand spoke louder than words ever could. Joe was the proud owner of Sass Custom Renovations, where he turned his passion for construction into a career. Exceptionally talented and hardworking, he had a particular love for concrete work and took tremendous pride in his craft. He had a gift for building and creating, and his work was a reflection of his dedication, skill and determination.Joe was the beloved son of Elizabeth Sass and Marc Sass. He also shared an especially close bond with his aunt Chris and uncle Jack, who loved Joe and his siblings as their own. Their guidance, support and unconditional love helped shape the man he became. He was the cherished brother of Suzanne Pollock, Lisa (Jason) Reigle and Stephanie (Kyle) Moreland; son-in-law of Debora Hayes and Michael Hayes; and brother-in-law of Kelly (Daniel) Holland, Caitlin Hayes and Meaghan (Jason) Hayes. Joe was also a beloved uncle to Emma (William) Jones, Celina Pollack, Hailey and Liam Reigle, Benjamin, Natalie, Cecilia, William and Margaret Moreland, Owen and Maeve Holland, and Mackenzie Hayes. He was also a cherished great-uncle to Ellie and Noah Jones. He is also survived by his beloved Thomann aunts, uncles and cousins, along with some of the best friends a guy could ever ask for. Joes life was far too short, but the love he had for his family, the friendships he built and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him will never be forgotten. His greatest legacy will always be the family he loved so deeply. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m., at Kaiser Funeral Home at 1950 Whitehaven Road, Grand Island, NY 14072.
